Mueller Basement Photos -- June 2003This is a quick page to let you see a few photographs of our basement project. Current status: Drywall is up. Cabinets are being installed, walls are partially painted. Scroll down for newest photos. The stairs into the basement. On the left is a small glimpse of the shop.  Here is the corner where the kitchen sink will eventually stand. Notice all the nice blue conduit to help out with our home theater system!  Here is some more of the kitchen... There will be a small desk here and some cords for phone and ethernet access. Also, a small fridge for all our soda will be under the counter.  The other wall of the kitchen, complete with lovely yellow insulation. This wall has the sink in the left and the oven & microwave combo on the right.  The ceiling above the pool table, near the bathroom. Nathan is holding a yardstick to show proper scale in the photo, as per instructions provided by pro contractor Lucia Ruth Mueller, a.k.a. Grandma.  Mom standing by the back of the shower, pointing at the lovely yellow insulation (and wearing a mask to keep it out of her lungs).  My dad and my friend John looking at how to stabilize the shower pipes done by ace plumber Robert Schlesinger.  Eventually, the pool table will sit in this space on the right. The photo looks through the wall separating the home theater room and the kitchen, and looks to the south wall covered in insulation. (Three-way electrical switches planned and implemented by Harlan Mueller.)  All the drywall (several thousand pounds of it) stacked in the garage. Folks from Menards carried it all around back so we didn't have to.  Sam has done a good job: here is the ceiling of the media room and pool room, looking down the hallway toward the bathroom and bedroom.  Here is another view of the drywalled ceiling.  The shop with drywall and electrical outlets in place; don't forget the cable tv jack and the ethernet jack over in the corner.  Kitchen cabinets are basically in place. Don't they look nice?
